Moorestown Library Remains Open Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Library is reminding residents that it is open with some restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The library is open Monday through Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

“Proper mask wearing and social distancing are required,” library officials said. “Patrons are welcome to browse the collection, use the computers and check out library materials. Contactless pick-up is available, if desired.”

The library had closed during the early days of the pandemic. It began offering contactless pickup services in June, and reopened with limited services in July. It expanded those hours and added a leading online service in August.

The library is reminding residents it is open as the number of coronavirus cases increases locally. As of Tuesday, there have been 990 cases of the coronavirus and 70 coronavirus-related deaths in Moorestown since the pandemic began. Countywide, there have been 990 cases, 622 confirmed deaths and 63 probable deaths. Trace investigations are underway in all cases.

The library also offers museum passes, so residents can visit local cultural hot spots. Passes are free for cardholders, and reservations can be made at http://www.moorestownlibrary.org/museum-passes/ or by calling 856-914-3031, option 1.

  • Battleship New Jersey
  • Museum of the American Revolution
  • Mutter Museum
  • Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts
  • University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and Anthropology
  • Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge

The library also released its list of its most checked-out books from last year, which included:

  • Camino Winds by John Grisham
  • Dog Man and Cat Kid by Dav Pilkey

Many are available in multiple formats: print, eBook, audiobook and large print.
