Moorestown Looks To Fill Vacant MEAC Seat
There is an open seat on the Moorestown Environmental Advisory Committee (MEAC). The township is accepting applications through Sept. 8.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown is looking to fill a vacant seat on its Environmental Advisory Committee (MEAC) after council accepted the resignation of Gerard Thone.
Council passed a consent agenda resolution to accept Thone’s resignation during Monday night’s meeting. It posted the vacancy on Wednesday.
MEAC advises and assists the township council, township manager, planning board, zoning board and any other department, committee or officials on environmental issues, according to township code.

Volunteer members are appointed by council to two-year terms and alternates serve one-year terms. MEAC meets at the library on the third Thursday of each month, 7 p.m.
