Thank you Moorestown! On 6-6-20 the Moorestown Tree Committee held a Free Tree Seedling event and all 500 seedlings were distributed! In previous years we've done this event at our Arbor Day Celebration and always had some seedlings left over which were then left at the Library for pick up. Due to COVID-19 we had to cancel the Arbor Day event and the seedlings were delayed. We advertised a Free Tree Seedling event with Curbside Pick Up at the Library, and offered Free Delivery to those who could not make it to the event. With 500 seedlings, recent storms causing downed trees and power outages, we were concerned that we would have many left, but once again the good people of Moorestown showed we love our trees! 75 seedlings were delivered to 17 residences and 425 seedlings were picked up in less than three hours! THANK YOU MOORESTOWN for showing your support and helping to replenish our tree canopy! Trees add to property value and improve our environment, BUT PEOPLE make our town special!
