Moorestown Man Connected To 7 Car Burglaries: Police

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A Moorestown man has been arrested in connection with seven car burglaries in the Collins Park (Ramblewood Rd./Springhouse Ln.) area, Moorestown Police said.
While on routine patrol early Friday morning, Moorestown Police came across a car with an open door. They soon discovered it had been burglarized.
Police soon found 33-year-old Michael R. Vonderlieth in possession of a stolen GPS while walking on foot. Vonderlieth was subsequently connected to the other burglaries, police said.

Vonderlieth was transported and lodged at the Burlington County Jail. Detectives are still attempting to reunite victims with property that was recovered.

Police also offered the following tips for residents to prevent themselves from becoming a burglary victim:
• Do not leave valuables in plain view:
(GPS devices, lap tops, PDA’s, cell phones, MP3’s, wallets, purses)
• Do not leave windows or sunroof open.
• Do not leave doors unlocked.
• Do not leave keys//and starter FOBs in the vehicle.
• Do not leave the garage door opener in plain view.
• Do not leave items with personal identifiers in plain view.
• Do move valuable items to the trunk while in public view.
