Moorestown, Moorestown Friends Earn High Seeds in Boys Tennis Tournaments

The Quakers are the No. 1 seed in South Jersey Group III. Moorestown Friends is No. 2 in Non-Public South B.

Moorestown’s two high school boys tennis teams are in their respective driver’s seats for their championship chases.

The Moorestown High School boys tennis team is top seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group III championship, according to nj.com. They Quakers received a first round bye, and will face the winner of the match between No. 8 Kingsway and No. 9 Ocean City in the second round on May 12.

Moorestown is 11-6 this season, with three more regular season matches left.

There are 14 teams in the tournament. Mainland earned the No. 2 seed and a first round bye.

Moorestown Friends was seeded No. 2 in the NJSIAA Non-Public South B tournament. They receive a bye through the first two rounds of the 10-team field. They face the winner of the match between No. 3 Wardlaw-Hartridge and No. 6 Ranney in the semifinals May 14.

Moorestown Friends is 12-3 this season with three regular season matches left.
