Moorestown Schools Announce Kindergarten Registration Dates

Children who are entering kindergarten for 2016 must be 5 years old on or before Oct. 1.

Moorestown, NJ -- Registration dates for kindergarten students in all the elementary schools in the Moorestown Public School District take place Thursday, Feb. 11-Friday, March 18, according to the school district’s website.

Children entering kindergarten in September 2016, must be five years of age on or before Oct. 1, 2016.

Parents should call Cathy Kain, the district’s Central Registrar’s office, at 856-778-6600, starting Wednesday, Jan. 20. After calling in, press 7 to receive a scheduled time during the day to complete the registration procedure.

There are pre-registration packets available, which will be sent out when making the appointment.

These packets contain information about the kindergarten program and copies of the forms that parents will be asked to complete before their scheduled appointment.

Parents don’t need to bring their child, but they do need to bring the following documents to their appointment:

a) Original birth certificate

b) Five proofs of residency in Moorestown

c) A physician-authorized record of immunization for polio, rubella, mumps, measles, chicken pox, DPT, and hepatitis B

d) A physical examination form completed by their health care provider

e) A completed registration packet

Kindergarten screening dates are as follows:

• Roberts School –Monday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 24

• Baker School – Wednesday, May 18, Thursday, May 19, and Friday, May 20

• South Valley School – Wednesday, May 18 and Thursday, May 19

A ‘SignUp Genius’ link for Kindergarten screening, at all three schools, will be posted on the MTPS website April 11.
