Moorestown Swim Teams Advance to Sectional Finals
The boys and girls were both victorious on Monday.

Both of Moorestown High School’s swim teams will compete for sectional championships this week.
Alexander Martin and Matthew Schaeffer each won three events to help the Moorestown High School boys swim team advance to the NJSIAA Central B championship meet with a 99-71 win over Manasquan on Monday, according to nj.com.
Second-seeded Moorestown will meet No. 1 seed West Windsor-Plainsboro South in the championship at Neptune on Friday.

Martin and Schaeffer each won an individual event, with Martin winning the 100 freestyle in 49.35 seconds, and Schaeffer capturing the 50 freestyle in 23.13 seconds.
They were both also part of the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:37.77) and the winning 200 medley relay (1:43.73).

Overall, Moorestown won 8 of the 11 races against the No. 3 seed.

Andrea Fong and Annie Wixted each picked up a pair of wins to lead the Moorestown High School girls swim team to a 96-74 win over Shawnee and advance to the NJSIAA South Jersey Group B championship meet, according to the Burlington County Times.
The second-seeded Quakers will swim on Thursday at Gloucester Tech, against either No. 1 Ocean City or No. 4 Clearview.
