Moorestown Tennis Team Falls in Group 3 Semifinals
The Quakers fell to Mainland, 3-2, this week.
After pitching back-to-back shutouts, the Moorestown High School boys' tennis team saw its championship hopes come to an end with a 3-2 loss to Mainland in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 playoffs, according to nj.com.
The were seeded No. 3 and defeated No. 14 Winslow and No. 6 Central Regional by identical 5-0 scores in the first two rounds, respectively.
Mainland picked up wins at second and third singles and second doubles to advance to the final.
Moorestown finished the season 18-8.
