Moorestown Third Graders Raise Money For Nepal

Students at South Valley Elementary School raised over $3,000 for Nepal in the wake of April's earthquake.

When South Valley Elementary School Teacher Kathryn Morken heard about the earthquake that killed over 8,000 people in Nepal in April, she added the event to her curriculum with the hope that her third grade students would realize they should do something to help, The Moorestown Sun reports.

Her students didn’t disappoint her.

Her students started with a project where the goal was to raise $360. They ended up raising over $3,000, according to the report.
