Talking about your loss and grief experience and listening to others can reduce anxiety, guilt, regret, and feelings of disconnection especially during this time of isolation. In this group we will explore our feelings about the loss and impact of the death during this extraordinarily difficult period. The private group led by Moorestown VNA grief support counselors will provide a safe way to share stories and feelings, and to learn positive ways to cope with grief. Free Phone-in sessions. Dial-in instructions will be available to you upon registration. To register, call (856) 552-1300 and ask for the Hospice Team.

CAMP FIREFLY “Camp-in-a-Box” Grief Support Program for Children ages 7-14

For children who have lost a parent, sibling or other important person, Camp Firefly provides a safe resource to share feelings, meet new friends, and find relief from grief.

Available to bereaved children from Burlington, Camden or Gloucester counties, including all those who have already registered for Camp Firefly this year.

At the end of August, each registered child will receive an age-appropriate “Camp-in-a-Box” in the mail filled with activities and information centered on understanding their grief, preserving their cherished memories, and building positive coping skills for the future. Children and their guardians will be able to access counselors online who will guide them through the grief activities and provide support during their sessions. Program will include a monitored, safe, online “Camp Firefly” community where children can share projects, thoughts and ideas with their peers who have experienced similar loss.

The program is free to all registered children. Applications are currently being accepted and availability is limited. If you know of a child who is grieving, or are interested in learning more about the Camp Firefly 2020 “Camp-in-a-Box” program please contact us at (856) 552-1300 or services@moorestownvna.org. https://www.moorestownvna.org/services/hospice/camp-firefly
