New State School Board Term For Moorestown Woman
Consequently, Kathy Goldenberg will serve another one-year term on the board, the New Jersey Department Board of Education said.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Kathy Goldenberg of Moorestown was recently reappointed New Jersey's State Board of Education President, the department said.
"I am truly humbled to once again be selected by our esteemed Members of the State Board of Education as their President, said Goldenberg. "It is an absolute honor to work with bright, hard-working individuals who generously contribute their time and efforts to put the educational interests of our students of New Jersey first and above political concerns."
She added, "I look forward to continued work with my colleagues on the board, the Department of Education and our many stakeholders to advance educational policies that promote innovation in our classrooms and consistently inspire a love for learning by our students."

The reappointment's term is one year, according to the news release.
Goldenberg was first appointed to the State Board of Education in 2017, the New Jersey Department of Education said. She served as vice president from 2018 to 2019, and as president since 2019, the department said.

She had served as the president of the Moorestown Township Public Schools District's Board of Education for about a decade before she stepped down to assume the position on the state board of education, Patch has previously reported.
