Moorestown Woman Who Made Gun Sights During WWII Dies At 96

Constance Hanson also enjoyed golfing, and had a hole-in-one on her 80th birthday.

Constance Marie Hanson (nee Smith), of Moorestown, passed away on April 9, 2017, at the age of 96. She was formerly of Shohola Pa., and Citrus Springs, Fl.

Connie was born in Glen Rock, NJ, and during the war had worked for the Sperry Co. making gun sights.
After her marriage, she and her husband opened the Village Gift Shop in Madison, NJ, which they ran for 40 Years.

Upon retiring they moved to Shohola, Pa. and then to Citrus Springs, Fl. where she enjoyed golfing. She made a hole-in-one on her 80th birthday. Connie also enjoyed bingo, cards and volunteering at the local library.

The family expresses their thank you to the Staff at Brandywine Senior Living at Moorestown Estates in Moorestown, NJ, for their care and compassion.

Wife of the late Gordon. Mother of Patricia (Chet) Dawson and Peter (Annette) Hanson. Grandmother of Bradley (Jess) Dawson, Kyle (Missy) Dawson, Amy Hanson and James Hanson. Great grandmother of Max, Sawyer, Cole, and Olivia Dawson.

Service and Interment will be held privately in Milford, Pa. at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1865 Harrison Avenue, Camden, NJ, 08105.
