More than 5,000 lost power in Moorestown Wednesday night after two storms tore through the region.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — More than 5,000 lost power in Moorestown Wednesday night after two storms tore through the region. A storm that has been classified as a derecho earlier Wednesday was followed by a storm that included both a tornado warning and a severe thunderstorm warning Wednesday night.
As of 11:33 p.m. Wednesday night, there were 5,408 PSEG customers in Moorestown without power, which was expected to be restored by midnight Saturday.
Multiple roads were also closed in Moorestown as crews worked to clear downed trees and wires.

Creek Road was closed due to storm damage between Centerton Road in Mt. Laurel and Bridgeboro Road in Delran.
