Mosquito Spraying In Moorestown Friday Night

Trucks will be spraying Zenivex in Moorestown on Friday night, Oct. 4.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Burlington County Mosquito Commission will be ground spraying in Moorestown Friday night. Mosquito Control trucks will be driving through the area spraying Zenivex at 1 to 2 ounces per acre to control adult mosquitoes on Oct. 4 between 7 p.m. and midnight.

The active ingredient in Zenivex is etofenprox, which presents a low toxicity to birds and dried foliar residues are not harmful to honeybees, according to centralmosquitocontrol.com. Etofenprox is considered reduced risk by the Environmental Protection Agency. A map of the area that will be sprayed in Moorestown can be seen on the county website.
