Motorcyclist Killed In Burlington Co. Crash That Threw Him Against A Tree: Police
The victim was a dedicated mechanic known for his exceptional skills and infectious laughter, according to his obituary.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man died in an accident last weekend when he was thrown off his overturning motorcycle and into a tree, authorities said.
Troopers responded to the one-vehicle crash at 9:58 p.m. Sunday on Route 542 in Washington Township, Burlington County. The driver — Andrew Uveges, 31 — sustained fatal injuries, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesperson.
Uveges, who lived in Tuckerton, Ocean County, was a dedicated mechanic known for his passion and "exceptional" skills, according to his obituary.

"Andrew is remembered for his warm spirit, infectious laughter, and the joy he brought to everyone he met," says the obituary, posted by Layton's Home For Funerals in Forked River. "He was a cherished father, brother, son, and friend. Everyone will deeply miss his vibrant presence in their lives."
According to a preliminary crash investigation, Uveges was traveling westbound on Route 542. His Harley Davidson motorcycle ran off the roadway to the right and overturned, ejecting Uveges and sending him into a tree, Lebron said.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information was available as of Tuesday morning, Lebron said.
