Mount Holly Man Sentenced On Methamphetamine Charges, Prosecutor Says
Detectives found more than a pound of crystal methamphetamine in the Burlington County man's vehicle and hotel rooms, officials said.
MOUNT HOLLY, NJ — A Burlington County man who admitted to crystal methamphetamine charges in Atlantic County has been sentenced to prison, prosecutors said.
Richard Mallinson, 54 had pleaded guilty to a first-degree charge of possession of controlled dangerous substances with intent to distribute, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
A judge in Atlantic County Superior Court sentenced him Dec. 5 to seven years in New Jersey State Prison, according to the prosecutor's office.

Atlantic County drug trafficking task force members began investigating Mallinson in March 2021, officials said. Investigators learned he had "a large amount of crystal methamphetamine," the prosecutor's office said.
Detectives "encountered" Mallinson at a Days Inn hotel room in Absecon that same day, according to the ACPO. They searched that hotel room, a Hard Rock Hotel room in Atlantic City, and Mallison's vehicle and found more than a pound of crystal meth in total, officials said.
