MTC Opens "Magic Tree House" Thursday At Hope Church

It is the first of a record five productions in one summer for the Moorestown Theater Company.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — “Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon” kicks off the Moorestown Theater Company’s summer season one day after America celebrates its Independence. It is the first time MTC will present five summer shows. All five productions are at Hope Community Church, 235 West Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057.

“Magic Tree House” opens on Thursday, July 5, with shows at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. There will be two more shows on Friday, July 6, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Burlington County premiere is directed by Erica Sirdashney.

A 17-member pre-teen cast will perform this musical version of one of the stories from the “Magic Tree House Collection‟ of books by award-winning author Mary Pope Osborne. Travel with “Jack‟ and “Annie‟ and their magical tree house to the eighteenth century Caribbean and the time of swash-buckling pirates and island creatures as they discover the power of friendship and simple pleasures in everyday life.
