MTC Presents 'Hairspray, Jr.' At Our Lady Of Good Counsel

The show opened Thursday night, with three more performances set for Friday and Saturday.

MOORESTOWN, NJ - Three shows remain in the Moorestown Theater Company’s (MTC) production of “Hairspray, Jr.” It is the 16th year MTC will present the junior version of the Broadway musical, presented by the Our Lady of Good Counsel School Drama Club.

A 40-member middle school cast performs this Tony Award-winning musical about “Tracy Turnblad” and her plan to integrate “The Corny Collins Show” in 1960s Baltimore, with great songs like “Good Morning Baltimore” and “You Can’t Stop The Beat.”

The show, which opened Thursday night, has three more performances as follows:
  • Friday, March 29, 7 p.m.;
  • Saturday, March 30, 2 p.m.; and
  • Saturday, March 30, 7 p.m.

All shows are performed at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 23 West Prospect Avenue in Moorestown. The show is directed by MTC Artistic Director Mark Morgan. Carol Ann Murray is the vocal director, and Kelsey Marcoccia is the choreographer.
