Multiple Chick-Fil-A's Closing For Renovations In South Jersey
Eat More Chikin before it's too late. 3 of the region's restaurants will close for varying amounts of time after Thursday.

SOUTH JERSEY — "Eat Mor Chikin" before it's too late. Several Chick-fil-A restaurants around South Jersey will temporarily close for remodeling.
Chick-fil-A East Gate Square (1418 Nixon Dr., Mount Laurel) closed earlier than usual Thursday, which will also mark the last day before renovations at two other restaurants: Chick-fil-A Marlton (220 Route 73 N) and Deptford (1480 Clements Bridge Rd.).
It's not uncommon for the chicken chain to temporarily close restaurants for remodeling. The typical lifespan of a freestanding Chick-fil-A eatery is 30 years. Within that timeframe, each location usually receives at least one full-scale renovation that requires an interior and exterior overhaul, the company says.

Changes vary by restaurant but can include enhanced kitchen designs and the addition of a second drive-thru lane.
The Mount Laurel restaurant will close for about four weeks, while the Marlton location plans to shutter for roughly 12 weeks. The Deptford location says it will announce a grand re-opening soon.
