Obituary: Alice Mae Merrick

Alice Mae Merrick (nee Buck), of the Evergreens of Moorestown, NJ, formerly of Westfield, NJ, died on Nov. 11, 2016, at the age of 88

Beloved wife of Robert D. Merrick. Loving mother of Doug Merrick, Sue Ehrhardt, Bill Merrick and Judy Dumont. She is also survived by her brother Donald Buck, ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Alice was a graduate of Traphagen School of Fashion and enjoyed a career as a fashion illustrator in New York City. She then devoted herself as a mother, wife and volunteer while continuing to follow her passion as an artist.

She enjoyed exploring other cultures and cuisines while living in various countries with her family. Alice was also an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing her love of nature.

Friends and relative are invited to celebrate Alice’s life at the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at the Chapel of The Evergreens, 309 Bridgeboro Road Moorestown, NJ.

Interment will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, NJ.
