Obituary: John Davies

John Owen Davies, of Moorestown, passed away on June 11, 2016, at the age of 89.

John was a veteran of the US Army with the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper, and a life member of the Maple Shade V.F.W. Post 2445.

He worked in construction since the age of 19 and was a member of the Carpenters Union.

John had worked for the J.D. Lawrence company as a Construction Supervisor.

He will be remembered best for his love of his grandchildren and sports.

Husband of the late Rosalie. Father of Jo-Ann Johanna Davies. Stepfather of Jay, Alan , Sidney, Michael, Troy Mashaw , and late William, Robert and Ilee. Grandfather of Jason and Justin DeMarchi and Pop-Pop to 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren from the Mashaw side.

Service and Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 2245 , 914 East Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ 08052.
