Marianne Golden Meehan, of The Evergreens, Moorestown,NJ, passed away on May 11, 2016, at the age of 84.

Marianne Golden Meehan, of The Evergreens, Moorestown,NJ, passed away on May 11, 2016, at the age of 84. After many military and career moves, Marianne and Dick settled in Moorestown.

Marianne was born in Philadelphia, in the St. Martin of Tours Parish near Oxford Circle. She attended Frankford Friends, Greene Street Friends and Friends Select. She graduated from Drexel University where she met Dick. Marianne and Dick were married for 63 years.

Marianne was active in the Moorestown High School Parents Association, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. She was a devoted mother and helped each of her sons earn the Eagle Scout Award.

She enjoyed teaching and playing bridge, knitting, caring for the family’s dogs, reading, singing in The Evergreens Choir and serving on The Evergreens Residence Counsel.

Marianne is known for always offering a good word, a helping hand, a thoughtful gesture, and sound advice.

Wife of Richard (Dick) Meehan. Mother of Richard (Sue) Meehan, Jr., Douglas Meehan and Scott Meehan. Grandmother of Mary Kate, Jack, Mike, Kelly, Shannon and Shannah.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Our Lady of Good Counsel at 42 West Main Street, Moorestown, NJ.

Visitation is 9 a.m.-10 a.m. at the Lewis Funeral Home at 78 East Main Street, Moorestown, NJ.

Private interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Moorestown, NJ.
