
The family of Robert William Lord is saddened to share his sudden death on September 10, 2016, at his home in Jefferson, Maine.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Lord; his three children, Craig (Debbie), Jennifer Gallogly (Andrew), and Stuart; sisters, Peggy Warren, and Sally Stillwell (Carl); and his five grandchildren, Maggie Masterton (Bob), Patrick Gallogly, Clare Gallogly, Nathaniel Lord and Augusta Lord.
Robert was a retired civil engineer who was a founding partner in the Burlington, NJ firm Lord, Anderson, Worrell, and Barnett. His projects included beautiful park designs in urban, suburban, and rural areas. He served as municipal engineer for many Burlington County towns.

He volunteered his time and expertise to the Rancocas Nature Center and grounds in Hainesport, NJ.
Upon retiring to Maine, Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, sailing on Damariscotta Lake, bird watching, and studying nature. He was an active volunteer with the Damariscotta Lake Watershed Association until the time of his death.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Damariscotta Lake Watershed Association, c/o Midcoast Conservancy, PO Box 289, Wiscasset, ME 04578.
