Obituary: Steve Cameron

Steve Cameron was a devoted husband and father, and soon to be grandpop. He was a loving friend, supportive coach and had so many wonderful attributes, especially “Warrior.” Steve earned his wings on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the age of 62. Born in Philadelphia but raised in South Jersey, he loved his wife, daughter, family, the beach and of course Mickey!

Steve was a beloved coach for Moorestown Soccer Club for over twenty years and spent his career leading and developing many retail teams. His passion for the people in his life was clearly reflected in the amazing relationships he built and the outpouring of love and support his many friends have shown for him and his family over the last several months.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Rooney Cameron (nee Pidgeon), his mother, Dolores Cameron, his daughter,Kristen Mitchell (nee Cameron), his sister, Lynne Desmond (née Cameron), and his nieces and nephews, Maura, Hannah, Arthur and Brendan.

Viewing is Thursday evening, 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the Lewis Funeral Home, 78 East Main, Street, Moorestown, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday at St John Neumann Church 560 Walton Avenue, Mt. Laurel, NJ. Interment will be private.
