Officials didn’t say whether LePage was the mother of the victims, but said they believed she was during a press conference Thursday afternoon.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
Officials believe all four were shot using the same handgun. The gun has been recovered.
A total of nine people live in the home on Holly Park Drive in Tabernacle. They are all related and there are children living in the home.
Information on the father was not available.
While ages of the children weren’t confirmed and identities weren’t released pending notification of next of kin, law enforcement officials said they are of school age, “between middle school and early high school.”
Everyone in the home is being interviewed, Jones said. There is no manhunt for a specific suspect underway, but officials said they are “a long way” from determining if the incident was a murder-suicide.
The shooting was reported at 9:15 a.m., but officials acknowledge it could have occurred any time between late Wednesday night and the time it was reported.
A family member reported the shooting to police, but those who live in the home have said they didn’t hear anything.
Police entered what officials described as a “chaotic scene,” and said the troopers who initially responded are currently receiving counseling.
A candlelight vigil for the victims was held Thursday night at the Tabernacle Town Hall, according to the Township’s Facebook page.
“Very sad, tragic day here in our little community,” the post read. “Please come show your support for our lost angels. Keep this family in your constant prayers and pray for our children in Tabernacle as they learn of this tragedy and learn how to cope with the loss of their friends at such a young age.”
