Our Lady of Good Counsel's New Priest is a Family Man

Jim Grogan will assume his new role as priest at the Moorestown church on July 1.

After starting a family of his own, Our Lady of Good Counsel parish’s newest priest began the journey taken by other members of his family in the past.

Jim Grogan was ordained as a deacon in 2004, shortly before his wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, according to the Burlington County Times. After she died, he decided to join the clergy, and did so with the approval of his two sons.

His brother Bill is a priest and two of his uncles were priests, according to the report. His brother played a big role in helping him become ordained.
