Perkins' Photography 38 Reception Set For Feb. 2 In Moorestown
The opening reception and awards presentation will take place at the Moorestown campus.

MOORESTOWN, NJ - The Perkins Center for the Arts will hold its 38th annual photography exhibition opening reception, Photography 38, at its Moorestown campus on Saturday, Feb. 2, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with an awards presentation at 2 p.m.
Photography 38 exemplifies the best and most innovative work by photographers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. Art collectors and the public are invited to attend the reception. Pieces displayed are available for purchase.
During the ceremony, one piece will win the Museum Purchase Award. That piece will be selected by the Brodsky Curator of Photographs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Peter Barberie, for the museum’s permanent collection.

Three artists will also receive the Perkins Curators Award. They will be selected for a dedicated exhibition at Perkins’ Collingswood campus in 2020.
Photographer Paul Cava, known for his sensual and emotionally driven collage work, is the 2019 Show Juror. Cava has exhibited paintings, drawings and photo-based works from 1976 to the present in galleries and museums in the United States and Europe.

His work has been collected by a broad range of private and public institutions, including The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Princeton University Museum of Art, and The Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris.
The exhibit remains open to the public through March 24 during normal operating hours. The Perkins Center for the Arts will be open Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
