Person Struck, Killed While Crossing Burlington County Roadway: Police
The driver stayed at the scene after hitting a pedestrian who wasn't in a crosswalk, authorities said.
MOUNT LAUREL, NJ — A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian Saturday night in Mount Laurel, police said.
The pedestrian was hit at 11:10 p.m. while they crossed Route 73 southbound between Clover Road and Rogers Walk, authorities said. They were not in a crosswalk, according to Ryan Orange, Mount Laurel's deputy police chief.
The driver stopped immediately and remained at the scene, Orange told Patch. No other injuries were reported.

Police were still working to identify the pedestrian as of late Monday morning.
Route 73 southbound was closed for about four hours after the collision.
