Police Officer Dies Unexpectedly In Burlington County, Department Says

A local police department said one of its officers, an Air Force veteran, has died. Police around the county have been offering condolences.

PEMBERTON TWP., NJ — Police in Pemberton Township announced they are mourning one of their own, an officer and Air Force veteran who has died.

Township police announced Patrolman Brian Lucykanish's "untimely passing" in a Facebook post on Friday.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and all members of his law enforcement and United States Air Force family as well," Pemberton police said.

A LinkedIn page for Lucykanish lists him as a Fire Team Member for the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

Further details such as Lucykanish's age, cause of death, and any funeral arrangements have not been released as of Friday afternoon. He is survived by his wife Kirstin and four children, according to family posts on social media.
