Policies On Vehicles, Drones Highlight Month In Moorestown School District
Board of Education member Brandon Pugh provides his monthly update on the school district.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving, and it is hard to believe we are about to enter December.
Highlights from the board and district for November include new board policy, recognition of the Unified Soccer Team, and an exceptional Veterans Day Ceremony.
At the November meeting, the board recognized student participants of the Unified Soccer Program, along with their coaches. The program brings together both students with disabilities and those without, to play together on the same team.
Moorestown was one of two teams to play in the first NJSIAA Unified Soccer Championship at Kean University. The MHS team did not win, but they put forth a tremendous amount of effort during the entire season and became the state runner-ups.

Policy 5514 was updated to include new forms of transportation not permitted on school property, including hoverboards.
Policy 7481 prohibits “unmanned aircraft systems,” also known as drones, from being flown on school property without first notifying and receiving permission from the Superintendent.
On Nov. 9, Moorestown High School hosted the annual Veterans Day Ceremony. The program recognizes MHS graduates, Moorestown residents, and family members of students/staff who have or currently serve in the Armed Forces.
The program featured recognition of each guest, student performances, and the reveal of the updated Veterans Memorial Wall at Moorestown High School to reflect additional names.
