President Donald Trump Failed The Military, Moorestown Man Says
A Moorestown man says President Donald Trump has failed in his role as Commander-in-Chief.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — A Moorestown man says President Donald Trump has failed in his role as Commander-in-Chief after the news surfaced that he knew Russia was paying the Taliban to kill Americans serving in Afghanistan. Edwin Begg’s letter to the editor can be found below.
To the Editor:
President Trump is a failure as Commander-in-Chief. Reportedly, he knew a year ago that Russia was paying money to the Taliban to kill American soldiers serving in Afghanistan. What did he do? He kept it a secret. When his disregard for our troops was revealed, he twittered, “Fake news.” He changed the subject in the blink of an eye.

When it’s Russia, Trump folds. If China had been the culprit, Trump would have been all over the case: Tweets posted, sanctions imposed, diplomatic relations severed, military actions threatened — you name it.
For those in the military, knowing your Commander-in-Chief does not have your back has to be the pits. At a younger age, I served under two genuine Commanders-in-Chief — Truman and Eisenhower. I never doubted they had my back and the backs of my fellow soldiers. They cared. With Trump, his only care is whether he is reelected.

Come November we get a chance to vote. Shouldn’t we vote for a real Commander-in-Chief?
