Protect Your Pets: Palmyra Offers Free Rabies Clinic

There has already been at least one rabid animal located in Burlington County, an official previously told Patch.

PALMYRA — A rabies and microchip clinic for Burlington County pets takes place this weekend, an event organizer told Patch.

Dogs and cats can get a rabies vaccine for free, and dogs can be microchipped for $15, said Lori Genstein, the president and founder of PURRsonal Space Rocks who’s also helping to coordinate and run the event.

“We … are excited for this opportunity to contribute to the community and assist the volunteer committee who work so hard each year,” she said in an interview.

The clinic, which is open to all Burlington County residents’ pets, will be on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Chief Payton I. Flournoy, Sr. Memorial Park in Palmyra, Genstein said.

Proceeds from the event will help support Palmyra's Halloween Parade, she added.
