Road’s Future, Play Auditions: Moorestown Monday Manual

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Welcome to the April 11 edition of Monday Manual, where we highlight important events coming up this week in and around Moorestown.

On Monday at 1 p.m. the Moorestown Library invites all to grab their needles, hooks and yarns to a virtual crochet and knitting session, which the library touts as a way to “start the week in a more mellow mood.” Contact the library for more details.

On Monday at 7 p.m. at town hall, Moorestown Township Council holds its bi-monthly meeting. Among the agenda items is a continuance of the discussion regarding McElwee Road. As Patch reported last week, some residents are against the council’s plan to widen the road.

Also on Monday at 7 p.m., it’s another round of auditions for the upcoming Moorestown Theater Company production of The Sound of Music. More information regarding auditions, performances and registration can be found by clicking here.

Then on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Burlington County Agricultural Center, the local business called The Rod Homestead puts on an event titled Making Compound Butter with Edible Flowers and Herbs. More information is available by clicking here.

Finally, on Thursday at 5 p.m., the Rotary Club of Moorestown hosts its Second Street Market. Among the things attendees can do is drink at a beer garden, eat food from one of the food trucks or play games.
