Rotary Club President Ben Stammen presented the check to Moorestown Police Chief Lee Lieber Wednesday morning.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Rotary Breakfast Club donated $1,500 to the police department so it can purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Wednesday morning.

"The police department is tasked with protecting and serving the citizens of and visitors to Moorestown,” Moorestown Police Chief Lee Lieber said. “At the top of that list is saving lives. To do that, having the best equipment is critical to a positive outcome. We thank our friends at the Moorestown Breakfast Rotary for their continuing support with their generous donation of the newest technology in Automated External Defibrillators (AED) giving our officers the best chance for successfully reviving a cardiac arrest victim."

Rotary Club President Ben Stammen presented the check to Lieber. It is the third donation the Rotary Club has made to the police department in four years, according to Rotary Club Past President Scott Aschoff.
