Rotary Club Donates $250 To Fight Haitian Heart Disease
Healing Little Haitian Hearts has been helping children with heart disease since 2012.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Breakfast Rotary Club recently donated $250 to help fund the the Gift of Life Network, the club announced. Kathy Hiltner, of Rotarians Serving Humanity - Healing Little Haitian Hearts, accepted the donation and spoke about the group’s 15 missions to Haiti since 2012. In 2012, the group began providing treatment to Haitian children with heart disease.
During the surgical mission, an incredible milestone was reached. One-and-a-half-year-old Rood was the 30,000th child to be operated on through the Gift of Life Network since 1975.
A screening mission followed in which a total of 105 children were evaluated, 40 of which had been operated on previously and received follow up care to ensure their continued health. Another 55 were found to be in need of treatment.
