Rotary Clubs To Plant 200 Trees In Moorestown This Weekend

It is part of the worldwide Rotary International effort to plant 1.2 million trees.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown Lunch and Breakfast Rotary clubs will participate in Rotary International's worldwide planting of 1.2 million trees on Saturday, April 14. Locally, the clubs plan to converge on Locust Street at 8 a.m. to plant over 200 trees, the clubs announced this week.

“Our clubs have organized an outstanding public, private, and non-profit partnership to execute this undertaking,” the clubs said in the announcement. “Our clubs have partnered with the Township of Moorestown, our local Interact club and Franzeo’s landscaping. Other local businesses that have also helped include Flagg’s Garden Center, Wegman’s and Moorestown Hardware.”

The clubs invite the community to come out and help plant trees and participate in the townwide effort.
