MOORESTOWN, NJ — Welcome to the April 25 edition of Monday Manual, where we highlight important events coming up this week in Moorestown.

On Monday, the Moorestown Township Council meets at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. Among the items on the agenda is a final vote regarding the proposed widening of McElwee Road and acquiring a portion of the Flying Feather Farm.

On Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the William W. Allen Middle School, the Moorestown Township School Board will meet to discuss the 2022-2023 school budget. The initial tentative spending plan is $87,458,034, and the district is slated to receive $4,886,365 under Governor Murphy’s proposed budget, an 11.86 percent increase over its state aid from the previous year.

Also on Tuesday at 7 p.m., at the Moorestown Library, the Moorestown Economic Development Advisory Committee is scheduled to hold its monthly meeting.

Also on Tuesday at 7 p.m., and again on Thursday at 1 p.m. Samaritan hosts an online discussion with an expert about advanced care planning – the process that allows people to make plans about their future health care. Contact Samaritan with any questions.

On Friday at 10 a.m., at South Valley School, Moorestown celebrates Arbor Day by planting three willow oaks. There will also be singing and poetry readings by some of the school’s students.

On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Moorestown residents can pick up tree seedlings at the Moorestown Library. The seedlings are available on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the library.

Also on Saturday starting at 6 p.m., the Community House of Moorestown hosts its 17th annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser. Those who need more information are encouraged to visit the Community House’s website for more information.
