Bertha T. Bendel (nee Brown), 94, of Moorestown, passed away on April 2, 2019, surrounded by her family at Cadbury Nursing Home.
Bertha T. Bendel (nee Brown), 94, passed away on April 2, 2019, surrounded by her family at Cadbury Nursing Home in Cherry Hill, NJ.
She was born on January 18, 1925, at home in Moorestown, NJ to Harvey and Bertha Brown.
She is predeceased by sister Charlotte Wright and brothers George and Harvey Brown. Bertha was married to Frank S. Bendel (deceased) for 67 years.
She graduated from Moorestown High School Class of 1943 and worked at Tidewater Assoc. Oil Co. until 1948. She also worked various other secretarial jobs over the years.

She volunteered in many organizations and was the longest active member of the First United Methodist Church, Moorestown, NJ. Bertha loved sitting on her front porch at 46 East Main Street, Moorestown, NJ with her best friend Mazie and visiting with friends and passersby.
Bertha is survived by daughter Louise Burgess (Rod) and son Frank S. Bendel, Jr. (Donna), grandchildren Brian Bendel (Stephanie), Bradford Bendel (Emily Metz), Zachary Forlano and Dana Vernacchio (Eric) and great grandchildren Charlotte, Frank, Chandler, and Alice. She has many nephews and nieces and loved all the family gatherings.

Memorial service is 1 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at the First United Methodist Church, 446 Camden Ave. Moorestown, NJ. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: First United Methodist
