The Sherwood Brothers - Philly's best acoustic band ever assembled - rocked out this summer & launches into fall with a bang

Another great summer is in the books for the Sherwood Brothers, a Philly-based finest acoustic rock band.

From the Jersey Shore to the mountains, the six-piece ensemble played nightclubs, parties and beaches, bringing audiences to their feet. The band’s set list include music lovers’ favorites arranged and performed acoustically, which creates a lush sound in a live setting. Frontman Darryl Sherwood’s raspy, rich voice is inspired and distinctive. Multi-instrumentalist Neal Petti adds layers of musical richness through his mandolin and guitar work.

“We have been fortunate to play great venues all summer long,” Sherwood says. “It never feels like work, especially when we play at the Shore.”

Some of the Sherwood Brothers’ songs that are popular with fans are the Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony” and Peter Gabriel’s “Solsbury Hill” as well as their original numbers Johnny Cash-inspired “Can’t Hold Me Down” and wistful country tune “Whiskey Drinkin’ Ways.”

The Sherwood Brothers have a busy fall lined up, says brother and guitarist Dennis Sherwood.
