South Jersey Italian Restaurant Closes Location: See Where
The group has been serving New Jerseyans for 81 years.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — A favorite South Jersey Italian eatery closed one of its locations on March 8.
"Joe Italiano's Maplewood," serving guests traditional Italian-style meals in the Garden State for 81 years, shut its doors at the Moorestown Mall location.
"After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close," staff said in a social media message to the community. "We want to sincerely thank you for your support, loyalty, and the wonderful memories over the years."

According to South Jersey Food Scene, management was not able to reach a lease agreement with the mall.
Joe Italiano's opened its Moorestown location in 2019.

The group will continue to serve guests at both of its restaurants in Hammonton and Mays Landing.
Ownership of the mall did not have any updates to share as of Tuesday regarding a replacement for the vacant location.
