State Police Release Video Of Troopers Rescuing Child, Puppy From Car
New Jersey State Police reported the rescue earlier in the week. They have now released a video of the incident.

Earlier this week, New Jersey State Police announced that two troopers had rescued a 2-year-old and a puppy from a locked car in the excessive heat over the weekend.
On Wednesday, police posted the video from that rescue in Batsto Village on the border of Atlantic and Burlington counties on their Facebook page. Check it out below.
A woman accidentally locked her grandson and dog in the backseat of her car after a visit to the village over the weekend, according to New Jersey State Police. When she realized she had locked her keys in the front passenger seat, she frantically dialed 911.

Troopers Jacob Sherry and Steven Hodge arrived on the scene. With the child visibly sweating inside the locked, hot car, police decided it was necessary to break open the window. After the woman agreed, Hodge broke the window and the troopers rescued the child and the dog.
Sherry put the child in the air conditioned police car and waited for EMS to arrive. A precautionary evaluation determined the child’s vital signs were normal, and he wasn’t in distress.
