Moorestown Freedom Lecture Cancelled

UPDATE: The 2018 Freedom Lecture scheduled for June 11 has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond Moorestown Library's control.

ORIGINAL: MOORESTOWN, NJ — With less than a month to go before Independence Day, Moorestown residents have the chance to learn about the new Statue of Liberty Museum. Joe Karadin and Emily Conrad will discuss the museum during the 2018 Freedom Lecture at the Moorestown Library on Monday, June 11, 7 p.m.

The lecture, sponsored by the Moorestown Fourth of July Committee, will be held in Meeting Room A.
Karadin and Conrad, of Tessellate Studio, were exhibit design leaders for the museum, which is scheduled to open on Ellis Island in 2019.

They will discuss how the museum exhibits were designed to educate visitors about the history of the Statue of Liberty, how the statue helped spread the idea of liberty throughout the world and how different people in different cultures understand the concept of liberty.
