Lee, a senior, took the Word Processing II test. Wu, a junior, took the Spreadsheet Applications test.
In addition to the testing, students participated in business-related workshops ranging from Dress for Success to What Employers Really Want.
“It was fun time,” said Sarah Lowy, president of the FBLA.
Lee is in her third year as a member of FBLA.
“I thought I wanted to be a business major,” Lee said. She said FBLA gives students the opportunity to look at different business opportunities. “It’s a good learning experience. Teens don’t know what they want to do. This helps.”
Wu is in her second year with FBLA.
“You learn a lot about fundraising, leadership qualities and organizational skills,” said Wu, who said she joined because she wanted to try something new.
The students who attended the conference will share their experiences with the 48-member club.
“We’ll use this experience to educate the younger students,” said Lowy.
This is the seventh year for the FBLA and Chadwick-Garrigle is pleased with how the students are doing.
“We’re getting good results,” said Chadwick-Garrigle. “I’m really happy.”
