Police Share 'Wanted' Flyer Of Wrong Person In Burlington County Theft Case

Authorities said a jewelry store mistakenly provided a photo of someone who isn't the suspect, which police distributed.

Update: Govberg Jewelers mistakenly provided law enforcement with photos of a person who isn't the suspect, authorities said. The Mount Laurel Police Department shared a photo of the wrong person Tuesday but has since replaced its "wanted" flyer with one containing pictures of the correct individual.

Patch has updated the article to contain photos of the person wanted for credit card fraud. Both recent fraud/theft incidents involving Life Time Mount Laurel now appear to involve the same suspect, police said.


MOUNT LAUREL, NJ — Someone attempted to buy themselves a nice gift with a credit card stolen from a health club in Burlington County, authorities said Monday. Mount Laurel police continue to search for the individual suspected of credit-card fraud.

The card was stolen from Life Time Mount Laurel, police said. The pictured suspect tried using the card July 7 to purchase a Rolex valued at more than $23,000, according to law enforcement.

They attempted to buy the Rolex at Govberg Jewelers on Walnut Street, Philadelphia, police said.

Anyone who knows the suspect's identity or has any information can contact the Mount Laurel Police Department at 856-234-8300 or the confidential tip line at 856-234-1414 ext. 1599.

Mount Laurel police recently alerted the public about a similar incident. A suspect stole a credit card July 7 from a Life Time gym locker and made more than $20,000 in successful and attempted purchases, the agency said.

It wasn't immediately clear whether both incidents were related.
