Teen Stole, Forged Checks From Post Office Drop Box In Burlington Co.: Police
Thefts from the drop box cost victims more than $160K last summer. Police say they found a forged check for over $6K in the teen's home.

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ — A teen has been charged in connection with a series of thefts from a Marlton post office drop box that resulted in more than $160,000 in monetary losses, officials said Wednesday.
Officers executed a search warrant and arrest warrant last Friday at the home of Zamir Nash-Barr, finding evidence linked to the thefts, according to the Evesham Police Department. The agency says it recovered a check for more than $6,000 that the Mount Laurel resident forged and deposited.
Nash-Barr, 19, also eluded officers Aug. 23, police said.

Last August, Evesham police said they were investigating more than $160,000 thefts out of the drop box behind the Marlton Post Office (123 E Main St.) that had occurred since June. It wasn't immediately clear how much of those monetary losses authorities believe are linked to Nash-Barr. But Evesham PD says he's a suspect in several other forgery and fraud cases and expects additional charges in the near future.
The teen was charged with eluding (second-degree), conspiracy to commit burglary (third-degree) and theft (third-degree). Officials placed him in the Burlington County Jail, pending an initial court appearance.
