BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — A utilities worker in Mount Laurel was sentenced for sexually assaulting an underage girl in 2025, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said.

Toczylowski, who was employed by the Mount Laurel Township Municipal Authorities at the time of his interaction with the girl, had arranged to meet her in person after talking online.

The sexual assault took place in his car while it was parked along a Township street, authorities said. Additional details are not being disclosed to protect the girl's privacy.

Under the plea agreement, Toczylowski is no longer allowed to be publicly employed. He will also be added to the New Jersey sex offender registry and subjected to parole supervision for life.

"Unfortunately, this type of crime occurs way too frequently," Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw said. "Children must be cautioned about interacting with strangers and also encouraged to immediately report inappropriate communications."

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office is a member of the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The organization provides resources and guidance on dealing with situations of online harassment and ways to avoid dangerous situations.
