As an update, repairs were not completed, and the area is currently filled with gravel and roped off to motorists. Travelers in the area should use caution and avoid the filled area while driving.  Upon excavation, Public Works discovered that the repair required an additional part, and the final repair is pending the department's acquisition of the needed piece.  Residents in the area should be aware that the water in the surrounding area will be turned off during the forthcoming replacement.
