Turn Unusable Plastic Bags Into A Bench In Moorestown
Those torn, ripped or otherwise unusable bags may no longer be useful to you, but others say they can put them to good use.
MOORESTOWN, NJ — Several Moorestown organizations are encouraging those whose plastic bags become ripped, torn or otherwise no longer usable to not throw them away.
The entities say are trying to collect enough to have Virginia-based Trex Company donate a bench to them. The church says it needs 500 pounds worth of bags.
Thus, instead of tossing plastic bags, drop them off at the vestibule within Moorestown Town Hall or at the First Baptist Church of Moorestown. Or both.

The township and church say all plastic shopping bags, bread bags, bubble wrap, dry cleaning bags, plastic shipping envelope, recloseable food storage bags and that plastic that bulk beverages are wrapped with are acceptable for this project.
These entities only ask that you clean the bag or plastic before you drop it off.

The township said if it does not get enough for the bench, it will recycle whatever it does get, while the church says it will accept the bags until Sept. 22.
