Vote Counting Continues In 2020 Moorestown Elections

MOORESTOWN, NJ — As of Thursday night, the Burlington County Board of Elections had counted 251,338 ballots in the 2020 elections, according to the county's website. All were vote-by-mail ballots, and numbers concerning turnout and provisional ballots remained unavailable.

While the numbers change, results in both the Moorestown council and board of education races have held steady, with the three Democrats seeking three seats on council holding on to their lead for more than a week.

As of Thursday night, Democrat Sue Mammarella remained the leading vote-getter in the council race with 6,893 votes, followed by Dave Zipin with 6,803 votes and Jake Van Dyken with 6,622 votes.

Republican Vick Bobadilla is the leader among Republicans, with 6,235 votes. Doug Maute is next with 6,051 votes, followed by Barbara Omert with 5,999 votes.

Lauren Romano remains in first place in the six-person race for three open seats on the Moorestown Board of Education, with 6,764 votes. Mick Weeks remained second with 6,297, followed by Jack Fairchild with 5,003.

Sarah Rivera is fourth with 4,548 votes. Julie Woodrow was next with 4,006 votes, followed by Val Gallagher with 3,348 votes.
