'War Of The Worlds' Moorestown Style At The Library Nov. 10
The updated retelling is set in South Jersey, and includes Lockheed Martin and the Pine Barrens.

Moorestown, NJ -- Experience the H.G. Wells classic “War of the Worlds,” Moorestown style.
The Moorestown Library will host an audio presentation created by local author and voice actor, Christopher H. Baum, with a national cast of 15 actors on Thursday, Nov. 10, 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
The original radio broadcast aired on Oct. 30, 1938, on CBS Radio. Actor and future filmmaker Orson Welles directed and narrated the show, which was an adaptation of H.G. Wells’s 1898 novel.

Part of the broadcast was done in the form of news simulations, leading some to believe aliens from Mars were actually invading Earth and allegedly causing real-life panic.
None of this is expected to happen during the broadcast at the Moorestown Library, which is an updated retelling set in South Jersey. It features Lockheed-Martin and the Jersey Pine Barrens.

There is some strong language and disturbing scenes, so the library advises this event is not for young children.
The Moorestown Library is located at 111 West Second Street, adjacent to town hall.
